Sara Kostant, MD

Dr. Kostant is a native of Los Angeles. She completed her undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University in New York City, majoring in Biology, before returning to LA for medical school at the University of Southern California-Keck School of Medicine. In her pre-medical life, she worked as a special education teaching assistant and tutor at a school in Manhattan. Having lived on both coasts, Dr. Kostant decided to try the Midwest and finished the residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

During residency, Dr. Kostant developed an interest in treating women with incontinence and pelvic floor disorders and decided to purse fellowship training in Urogynecology. She joined Illinois Urogynecology in 2009 as a fellow, and will primarily be seeing patients at the Northwest office this year.

In her free time, Dr. Kostant enjoys exploring interesting Chicago neighborhoods, museums, and bookstores.
